"The Best Toilet Ever"

PROS: Easy to Install,Great Design,Functional,Works Great
OTHER THOUGHTS:   This Toto replaced an ancient toilet we had. We picked Toto because of the success we've had with before. It's unstoppable.

PROS: Works Great
OTHER THOUGHTS:   I haven't installed this Toto toilet yet, but I'm sure it will work great as we have two others we have had for a few years. The shipping on this product was quite fast and it was shipped in such a way that it would have taken quite alot to damage the toilet. I was worried about shipping a toilet by FedEx, but the way it was packaged it was quite well protected. I'm pleased.

"Amazing Toilet. I'll never buy anything other than a Toto ever again."

PROS: Easy to Install,Great Design,Functional,Works Great
OTHER THOUGHTS:   VERY strong and effective flush. We redid our master bath and used this toilet based on many good reviews. It exceeds every expectation that I could have. Install was easy and straightforward. The flush is VERY fast and powerful, yet uses only 1.6 gallons per flush. It is VASTLY more powerful and effective than an American Standard Cadet 3 that I installed upstairs only 2 years ago. This is really significant when one considers that the Cadet 3 has a total horizontal run of only 3 feet to the main vertical sewer stack and is vented directly to the roof. The Toto Drake has a HUGE horizontal run of 25' to the main horizontal run to the street and is merely vented with a single air admittance valve. There is no comparison between the two. The Toto Drake is vastly faster and more powerful. We still own a plunger but no longer keep them in any of the bathrooms - they just won't be needed anymore.

"Great Toilet"

PROS: Easy to Install,Great Design,Functional,Works Great
OTHER THOUGHTS:   I had read many good reviews and a few bad reviews about the Toto toilet. This toilet works great. A few reviews talked about the toilet having to be brushed after use. I have not had this problem and the toilet always flushes everything away on the first flush. Also half of this toilet (the tank) was made in the US. Many of the US brands are totally made in overseas. This is a great product and was very well packaged to avoid any breakage.

PROS: Installed my mail-order Toto Drake last week and am happy to say it went in well and works as advertised. I got very tired of the stuff going round and round and wondering if it would go down. And now it just burps a little and its all gone, whoosh. Hardly any sound, very quiet and it refills very quickly. One quick flush rather than two or three.

"Great Toilet"

PROS: The toilet is sleek, uses very little water, is relatively quiet, and FAST! No waiting around to see if everything goes down -- it is GONE in a jiffy. It is also easy to install; the directions are very clear.
CONS: More than I wanted to spend on a toilet, but worth every penny. It does not come with a seat or wax ring; you have to buy those separately. The instructions contain the wrong measurements; the dimensions are for the elongated bowl even though I bought the round bowl. So I had to be careful when buying the seat.
OTHER THOUGHTS:   I was very impressed that nationalbuildersupply.com has free shipping over $100 even for a 98-lb. toilet! It arrived fast and packed extremely well. No cracks, chips or missing pieces. Extremely satisfied and have already recommended it to family and friends.

REVIEW:   Probably the dirtiest toilet i have ever used. Rim holes are not uniform and miss 40% of the bowl. Wrote to supplier, called TOTO and no satisfaction. Bowl surface is not smooth and everything sticks. Must be brushed after each use.Would not buy again. Even offered to buy a different TOTO with sanigloss before I put this one by the curb but needed one to accomodate Washlet system. No response from supplier or TOTO

REVIEW:   After reading the great reviews, bought two to replace 20 year-old builders' grade toilets. I am now a believer, and will demand Toto's in the next house we buy. The action is fantastic, I think I could flush a cat down one of these things. It's hard to believe that it uses so little water. I bought mine on sale; prices were only a few bucks more than the premium jobs in the big-box stores.

REVIEW:   I LOVE THIS TOILET! Its flush is very quick and very quiet. And everything always goes down in one flush. I highly recommend the SanaGloss - the only dirt that accumulates in the bowl periodically forms a faint gray ring around the water line. This mark comes off easily using a standard toilet brush.

REVIEW:   After 2 years of constant clogs with our Eljer toilet I purchased the Toto Drake over the internet. Couldn't be more happy. If it is at all possible to get excited over a toilet this is the one. Has been installed for 1 month and have not touched the plunger (was a daily occurance with the Eljer) I did add a no sweat liner prior to installation. Flush is so quiet you wouldn't think it could do such an awesome job. If you are in the need of a new toilet this is the one to buy. You won't be disappointed.

REVIEW:   We bought this toilet and have used it for the last 2 months. It was replacing a 30 year old toilet that was original with the house. What a difference! After reading the great reviews, we bought the Toto Drake and it did not disappoint. The flush is very smooth and forceful. There have been no problems with clogs at all since we've had it. There has also been a noticeable savings in our water bill. The plumber that installed it said that it was a great toilet. It is also very easy to clean with standard brushing and toilet cleaner.

REVIEW:   I must admit that I have heard many great things about Toto's G-Max system over the years, but my parents and I have had 3 Drakes installed in our home for 4 years and the toilets are constantly dirty, water splashes all over the seat when your flush(forget about a cortesy flush if you are sitting on it and expect a wet surprise), and I regularly clog it. Try Kohler's Class 5 toilets. My brother bought one for his house and it's cleanly and never has clogged even after several tests from me.

REVIEW:   I installed the Toto Drake last year based on rave product reviews. Although its clog rate is lower than my Kohler low-flush, unclogging it is awful. Due to the ridges in the bowl, a standard plunger cannot get good closure on the bowl. Splashing of unclean water is unpreventable if this toilet clogs, so you need both a plunger and a mop to unclog it. My next toilet will have a smooth bowl. As far as installation goes, it was easy except that the flange I was installing it on protruded from the floor by about 3/8 inch. Due to the limited clearance around the throat of the outlet, I was required to put the toilet up on a plywood shim to prevent it from rocking on the flange. Other toilets I have installed have more clearance around the outlet.

REVIEW:   I read all the great reviews on this toilet so we bought one. It does not work for us as well as everyone states. If you put more than two pieces of toilet paper in there at one time, it clogs and is extremely difficult to unclog. You have to flush between dumping waste and using toilet paper. While it doesn't clog as often as our old toilet, I am disappointed in this toilet's performance.

REVIEW:   Works very well. The one dissapointment is the Sanagloss finish. Perhaps I was expecting too much from a low-flow toilet, but it needs to be cleaned at least as often as the old toilet it replaced. I don't think the coating is worth the extra cost. Because I living where I had to have the toilet shipped, I was concerned that it arrive intact. No need to have worryied: the packaging was the safest I have seen.

Nothing I have ever owned even worked half as well as this toilet--it literally flushes in 3 seconds (it is a little louder than most toilets but not bad) and the tank fills back in less than 10 seconds. It will flush anything--I think it would flush a brick!! Also it was very reasonably priced--I paid $288 including a new seat and tax.
